North Twin Builders wants everyone to know what a great place it is to live and visit Vilas County and Northern Wisconsin. Whether you are a long-time resident, planning your Eagle River custom home, or just passing through, make sure to fit in a visit to the Northwoods Children’s Museum.
The Northwoods Children’s Museum, located at 346 W. Division Street in Eagle River, is the perfect place to spend a day with the family!
With 24 interactive exhibits and a fantastic arts and crafts area, you can spend the whole afternoon having a blast with learning. Kids of all ages love the dress-up area, complete with costumes and props to spark make-believe play time. A neat tree house and gardening area are great for active play. If your young one needs a little down time, visit the reading area, complete with comfortable spots to sit and browse the many books on hand.
The bubble station is a favorite for people of all ages, as you stand in the center of a bubble wand and draw the bubble up around yourself. The building zone is full of Legos and play sets for all interests, including castles and trucks and more. The Northwoods Children’s Museum has something for every kid, no matter their age!
In addition to the everyday offerings, the Northwoods Children’s Museum hosts a variety of special programs and events. From the Humpty Dumpty 4K program to the Fun with Fathers nights, the opportunities are amazing. Check their schedule online to see what’s coming up!
Make sure to stop in the Discovery Toy Store during your visit to the museum, or even make a special trip. The store is full of educational and fun toys, puzzles, and games. It is the perfect spot to pick up a unique birthday gift like a science or craft kit. And the best part – all of the profits benefit the museum and allow them to offer memberships to families that can’t afford them.
The Northwoods Children’s Museum gives so much to our community here in Vilas County through great programs and participation in local events, like Phelps Maple Syrup Fest. If you are interested in giving back to the museum, consider donating unneeded household items for their displays or giving a monetary donation. Businesses have the opportunity to become museum sponsors, and anyone in the community can volunteer their time for museum projects or events.
Stop in the museum Tuesdays thru Saturdays from 10 AM to 5 PM. The cost of admission is only $7.00 per person, and will keep your child learning happily for hours. For more information about the museum and its programs, visit them online or call 715-479-4623. And make sure to find the Northwoods Children’s Museum on Facebook to stay up-to-date on museum news and happenings!
